Facebook Admin Profile Setup: questions we hear most
Do you provide the admin profile?
No, and nobody should. The backup admin must be a real person you trust, usually a co-owner or senior employee, using their own profile. We never supply, sell or rent profiles.
Why do I need two admins?
If your only admin loses their phone, forgets their password or leaves the company, nobody can manage the business. A second admin with full control is the simplest protection against that.
Can a freelancer be my backup admin?
We advise against it. Freelancers and agencies should get partner or limited access. Full control should stay with people inside your business.
Do you need my password to add an admin?
No. You send the invitation from your own account while we guide you, or you give us temporary access to do it. Either way, your password stays with you.
What if I have already lost access to my only admin?
Then the first step is Meta’s own recovery process for that profile. We explain the official options, but we cannot recover accounts for you and we will not use unofficial methods.
Does this include Instagram?
